You are both the light and the darkness you see within the world and It is your choice to allow those with nothing to offer into your life. You are the creator of your own destiny but do not forget you may also be your biggest downfall. You see many of us start out trying to impact the world in some way but somewhere down the road we fell short. Lost within the confusion of day to day life, we got a day job and thought to ourselves we can come home and continue at night. Little did we know just how wrong we were. With minds fragile enough to crumble at the first glimpse of negativity, something as insignificant as a 13 second interaction has now brought us to tell ourselves; we are having a bad day. We go to bed hoping tomorrow will be better but to no surprise we find ourselves back home at the end of it all, lying down in hope for a better start tomorrow. One morning we wake up and it is as if we have made a time-leap. Now working at this job for 20 years at the same position wondering each night why we couldn’t do better for ourselves. Is this truly the life we envisioned so very long ago and more importantly at the pace we are going do we want to even attempt to start a family? This is the result of our choices… so we accept our circumstances, swallow our self-pity and live on in hopes that the next of our generation will do better. This is but a representation of the workers across the world who once had a dream… but are now lost in a world of anger, frustration, and self-made sorrow.
