When Life Was Pure

When we were young we often thought what life would be like when we grew up. Every morning the world seemed brand new as we stepped outside the front door and entered into what looked like a dream. As a child the possibilities were endless, our hearts were as deep as the oceans and our minds shined vibrant into what others would call everyday life. There may have been problems but we knew life was not pure, yet somehow as we stumbled through the leaves and played amongst the rocks we would often find ourselves looking up at the sky and realizing that life held much more depth than we could have ever imagined. It was as if all of our issues were nonexistent at the sight of the vibrant skies. Our heart was not tainted by the negativity of the world and to us, fall was a doorway for our thoughts to flourish. The warmth in our chest and the beating of our heart added life to the ambitious glimmer in our eyes. We must fall in love with the world again and leave our anguish behind. The ability to yearn for more is a seemingly long-lost trait amongst people, somewhere down the road we forget what it’s like to dream. We must re-birth the fire in our belly and chase a path of our choosing, leaving behind the chains of the mediocre world and shining light to infinite possibilities.
